Where should I start?

Ok, so I was thinking of starting to upload some Platinum stuff (from the Fan-Kit) and wondered if I should start there after I've moved all the Unova art to the English names? --S2daam 06:41, 20 February 2011 (EST)

How about dream world art! Or these CMYK pictures? What do we do with those?—★Pika3323 06:50, 20 February 2011 (EST)
Alright, after the Unova images are moved to English names, the next thing to tackle is FANKIT. As for the Dream World art, I'm currently working on getting vector images of all of those (I also need to set up SVG to PNG conversion). As for the CMYK pictures... just leave them as-is. If I get access to Nintendo UK's or Nintendo Europe's press sites (they're seperate), I should get replacements for a number of these.--immewnitythemew 10:15, 20 February 2011 (EST)
I'll start uploading artwork from the HG/SS and Platinum fankits now :D --S2daam 14:29, 20 February 2011 (EST)
Fankits? What's that? According to Photoshop the Pachirisu art is a RGB. Just green not blue.—★Pika3323 14:41, 20 February 2011 (EST)
FANKIT-Nintendo. Basically, Nintendo France takes images from their press site and puts them into categories. Kinda nifty. As for Pachirisu, you are correct; the color scheme shown in image coding is RGB, but as you can tell, the coloring is off. The place I got the image from misconverted.--immewnitythemew 16:51, 20 February 2011 (EST)
By the way.. if your looking for a SVG to PNG converter, theres one here:http://www.fileformat.info/convert/image/svg2raster.htm --S2daam 04:31, 21 February 2011 (EST)
A lot are RGB in the DE-CMYK category. If not all that rest.—★Pika3323 07:14, 21 February 2011 (EST)
NONONONONO!!!! Upload the SVG as-is. I'm working on one that integrates with MediaWiki. I'll check that CMYK issue.--immewnitythemew 09:06, 21 February 2011 (EST)
Ah-Ha! First convert image to CMYK then convert to RGB!—★Pika3323 14:59, 21 February 2011 (EST)
You got it to work?!?!?! Upload test please! EEK!--immewnitythemew 15:48, 21 February 2011 (EST)
How should I say this... Sadly... no. I'll research some more though.—★Pika3323 17:40, 21 February 2011 (EST)
Okay. Figured that.--immewnitythemew 18:10, 21 February 2011 (EST)
How did you do those ones?—★Pika3323 20:34, 21 February 2011 (EST)
The way you were saying in Photoshop: convert to CMYK and back. It works!--immewnitythemew 20:35, 21 February 2011 (EST)
I had my doubts it would work... but pachirisu proves it works.—★Pika3323 20:53, 21 February 2011 (EST)
It's not exact, but close enough until I find non-CMYK of some; I know I have non-CMYK of Pachirisu somewhere.--immewnitythemew 20:57, 21 February 2011 (EST)
How do I name MD3 pokemon artwork? Also what are flights?—★Pika3323 15:23, 22 February 2011 (EST)
(resetting indent) You named them right. Flights are a date categorization technique I used to have in use, but I'm phasing them out; they didn't do any good.--immewnitythemew 19:35, 22 February 2011 (EST)
Can I tinker with the Hiya template and give it a border?—★Pika3323 15:30, 23 February 2011 (EST)
Of course! Also, if you find an image as a PNG, keep it as a PNG.--immewnitythemew 19:34, 23 February 2011 (EST)
For roundy do-dads can we have a template for that instead? Like they do on Bulbapedia?—★Pika3323 06:45, 25 February 2011 (EST)
I'll whip one up one I get the chance.--immewnitythemew 07:27, 25 February 2011 (EST)
The conversion of the False-CMYKs would work if you could encode the colours as CMYK without changing the colours...—★Pika3323 15:24, 25 February 2011 (EST)
Except that'd be a pain in the neck, as we'd have to do that pixel by pixel. Also, I've got a question for you: Were the Regi trio and Plusle/Minun PNG when you got them?--immewnitythemew 16:51, 25 February 2011 (EST)
Yes, same with Eevee. (Uh-Oh... Am I in trouble?)—★Pika3323 17:03, 25 February 2011 (EST)
Pixel by pixel eh? That makes me bring up the question of how "your source" could get the images into CMYK colors yet keep it in RGB color-space.—★Pika3323 16:09, 26 February 2011 (EST)
Exactly. Hopefully I'll gain access to the ultimate source, which should have the images in RGB.--immewnitythemew 18:32, 27 February 2011 (EST)
The ultimate source: Ken Sugimori himself. But will that happen? Not likely.—★Pika3323 07:35, 28 February 2011 (EST)
According to metadata, Nintendo FANKITS uses adobe photoshop CS3 macintosh =D—★Pika3323 17:51, 28 February 2011 (EST)
LOL. Well, I got access to another source, and though files are still downloading, seemingly a number of them are CMYK. Luckily, though, it's full CMYK.--immewnitythemew 19:42, 28 February 2011 (EST)
Yes! Full CMYK! So easy to convert, can't even begin to edit it in photoshop elements without it converting. (Photoshop elements doesn't go very well with CMYK)—★Pika3323 19:47, 28 February 2011 (EST)
By any chance do you have a DropBox account? If so, I can easily share the stuff I need to upload if you feel like converting/uploading. Sorry for not doing much lately; high school sucks. :P.--immewnitythemew 20:04, 28 February 2011 (EST)
No... but you could just E-mail me all the files to convert... —★Pika3323 06:46, 1 March 2011 (EST)
You sure you can handle a 2GB email?--immewnitythemew 07:28, 1 March 2011 (EST)
No... I can't... I think setting up a dropbox account would be easier... Hold on.—★Pika3323 14:54, 1 March 2011 (EST)
So, uh... How do I use this "Dropbox"?—★Pika3323 15:00, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Been away recently, just wondered what needs doing :D, anything that specifically needs uploading? --S2daam 15:14, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Ah, that's where you were... cleaning the hard drive right now (deleting un-needey stuff.) Dungeon 2 artwork needs to be uploaded, Immewnity seems to have found a 2GB ultimate source.—★Pika3323 15:24, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Alright, as for the Dropbox thing, what e-mail did you use? I'll send you the folder invite. For things that need to be done, s2daam, can you also download Dropbox? It'll make image sharing ten times easier.--immewnitythemew 20:06, 1 March 2011 (EST)
The same as for signing up to here. Also any reason I can't get this account e mail confirmned?—★Pika3323 20:29, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Mkay. And, I don't know. I have that optional ATM, so don't worry about it.--immewnitythemew 20:35, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Now if you can't tell, got the message, and files!—★Pika3323 21:03, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Alright! If you don't mind, can you delete the files once they're uploaded? Then I can add more. I'll help if I get done with all this homework. :D --immewnitythemew 21:13, 1 March 2011 (EST)
Delete them in the dropbox file? or the previous versions of the file here?—★Pika3323 21:15, 1 March 2011 (EST)
In the Dropbox. However, don't convert JPG to PNG, just like I didn't want you to do the opposite. No conversion preserves the best info.--immewnitythemew 21:20, 1 March 2011 (EST)
I'm not doing any of that, (just psd to jpg). Also Castelia_city.jpg won't upload (Uploading new file to avoid MIME problems) it's 8000X6000 pixels... HALP!!!—★Pika3323 07:09, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Hmm, if that's not enough Paint.NET doesn't have enough memory to open the world map one! (it's 56X35 inches)—★Pika3323 07:14, 2 March 2011 (EST)
I got Unova to open; try to close all other programs. I'll look into the Castelia City one; do you mind putting the converted Castelia City in the Dropbox?--immewnitythemew 07:21, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Got a dropbox account. I'll start uploading files that are needed -- samm :) talk to me 10:41, 2 March 2011 (EST)
It's uploading, even all programs closed it won't open, but it doesn't matter Paint.NET isn't in my converting process, I just use it to view file size in pixels, World map is 11144X7025 pixels. I think it might be the server rejecting these files because of their size, so says the message of "connection abortion".—★Pika3323 14:58, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Immewnity! Immewnity! The main page is blank! What's wrong?! (Refreshing infinite times, and another browser, doesn't show up.)—★Pika3323 16:56, 2 March 2011 (EST)
For some reason I'm thinking it's this Castelia image.. I'm gonna delete it and see what happens -- samm :) talk to me 16:57, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Yes. It is. So, were gonna have to wait for Immewnity to decide if were to upload the image or not.. -- samm :) talk to me 16:58, 2 March 2011 (EST)
That was it, these files are to big to be stored properly, your server rejected them, so now what, if that file won't work then the world map will destroy the server.—★Pika3323 17:01, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Urghh... I guess we'll hold off on those for the moment; keep them in the Dropbox, though. I'm working on getting a paid host soon which should be good.--immewnitythemew 18:52, 2 March 2011 (EST)
(How do I ask this????) More files (in "the box") please. P.S. your EPS files don't work.—★Pika3323 19:05, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Check again. Also, the eps-es must be a different vector type; I'll figure it out later. Also, lemme clarify a few things: all humans in Black and White are drawn by Ohmura, and use lowercase when non-proper, i.e. "packaging", not "Packaging".--immewnitythemew 20:47, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Got the new art, also all humans except for the main player art is drawn by Ohmura.—★Pika3323 07:15, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Sorry, forgot the exceptions: player characters and Prof. Juniper are Sugimori.--immewnitythemew 09:10, 3 March 2011 (EST)
K, so what about the rest of these files? What are they? (P.S. your server seems to be shutting down.)—★Pika3323 16:03, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Oh and what is(are) your source(s)?—★Pika3323 16:35, 3 March 2011 (EST)
The rest of the files are PSD files, or layered files originating from Photoshop. My only issue with these is that they are layered, meaning that there are images on top of another, so a few could have separate images in them that could be useful separately. As for the server shutdown, it happens; it'll be back up in about five minutes. For sources, I'll send info to you guys soon with them.--immewnitythemew 17:02, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Wait... that wasn't what you are asking. Some of these are MD1 art (#####_pok233monmyster.jpg), the rest are miscellaneous images, mostly originating from Amazon.--immewnitythemew 17:11, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Oh, that's what they were... time to upload!!!—★Pika3323 17:15, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Do I upload them as is? Photoshop says they're damaged. Also you don't like me removing backgrounds.—★Pika3323 17:17, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Hmm... which files specifically does Photoshop say was damaged? As for the backgrounds, if it is, say, a simple gray background or a shadow, remove it. If it is artwork in the background, keep the background, or upload the background separately.--immewnitythemew 21:45, 3 March 2011 (EST)
It's the Pikachu artwork, all backgrounds are grey or blue (so far).—★Pika3323 06:42, 4 March 2011 (EST)
Same with treecko artwork.—★Pika3323 07:08, 4 March 2011 (EST)
Huh. I guess I'll reupload them and see if that works. As for the backgrounds, remove the MD ones.--immewnitythemew 08:15, 4 March 2011 (EST)
I take it we are deleting the files once uploaded, in the Drop Box I mean. -- samm :) talk to me 10:07, 5 March 2011 (EST)

Hello

I'm sorry I'm new to wikis so I don't know wether what I am doing is "right". Anyway I'm a Pokémon artwork fan and I would like to know if you could be so kind to share your source for those latest awesome-quality black and white artwork. That would make me so happy! Thank you... and even if you decide not to share (sigh) thank you for your work wich is highly appeciated.

Even I don't know his source and I've been here a while, Immewnity we need guidlines P.S. Sign talk pages with~~~~.—★Pika3323 17:40, 3 March 2011 (EST)
I cannot give you a login, but most of them are from Nintendo UK's and Nintendo America's press sites. Pika3323, I'm drafting an email right now; should be out tomorrow morning. It's going to be a big email.--immewnitythemew 17:58, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Now, about my other question above...—★Pika3323 18:40, 3 March 2011 (EST)
Thank you for your answer. Even if I can't have an access. I wish there was a journalist in my family. Anyway I don't really understand why they don't like free advertising. Thank you again for your work, all of you on this website! Hehemarco 13:46, 4 March 2011 (EST).
By the way, the login for Nintendo America's press site can be found online after a little searching; I just can't provide it to the public.--immewnitythemew 14:16, 4 March 2011 (EST)
Yes, I'm aware of the fact that guests can have access to nintendo America's press site ;) Thank you anyway. Hehemarco 17:41, 4 March 2011 (EST)
I see what you did there... :P Nice!--immewnitythemew 21:49, 4 March 2011 (EST)

Kopie files

Why are they there? They take up a lot of place, also most of the time there's a psd file that is identical.—★Pika3323 08:53, 5 March 2011 (EST)

No wait, their a lot smaller files...—★Pika3323 08:57, 5 March 2011 (EST)
The Platinum ones were very strange as set up on the server; there will be a lot of copies/kopies.--immewnitythemew 09:00, 5 March 2011 (EST)
Also there are a lot of files identical to the ones we have right now. Do I have to re-upload them?!—★Pika3323 09:07, 5 March 2011 (EST)
Problem! Problem! You have a full CMYK version of Creation_Trio.jpg in "the box". So I converted it, but it's a smaller file than the existing false CMYK also this converted file has strange settings.—★Pika3323 09:12, 5 March 2011 (EST)
Never mind, there's another copy.—★Pika3323 09:33, 5 March 2011 (EST)
NO! NO! NO! WHY ANOTHER VERSION OF DRAPION ART?!?!?!—★Pika3323 09:58, 5 March 2011 (EST)
