Categories are PidgiWiki's main method of navigating through the thousands of images that we are hosting; they appear as links on the bottom of each file's page. This is a guideline on how different types of category pages should be worded, as well as what parent categories these pages should be containing. Parent categories may be added by surrounding the title using two square brackets and placing it on the bottom of the page, with each different category using a new line.
- For example, [[Category:Nintendo 64 games]] should be added to Super Mario 64's category page.
Using these parent categories promotes navigation by allowing viewers to sort through increasingly focused subjects, beginning from the most broad levels (Category:Games, Category:Logos, etc.), to the most specific levels (for instance, Category:Super Mario Maker packaging). The following are PidgiWiki's main categories:
Each image should be assigned to a combination of the above categories, by correctly filling Template:Info while uploading a file.
